And there will be FREE FRUIT!
Mental Health Matters (MHM) works to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, improve the University’s policies towards those with mental health problems, and raise awareness of support services for those who need them. MHM acts as a safe, open space, where people can talk openly about their mental health without fear of judgment. This is especially important around this time of year, given how Christmas can be lonely and isolating for many, particularly estranged students and international students.
Our Queerying Mental Health campaign aims to highlight the specific issues that many LGBTQ+ people face. The campaign has led to increased collaboration between us and the LGBT+ Committee, and we hope to hold further events in the future.
We’re supporting Mind, as they’ve done so much good in bringing mental health into the spotlight. They are one of the leading mental health charities in the UK, and work tirelessly by supporting those with mental health problems, training societies like ourselves, and promoting understanding of mental health problems.
//DISABLED TOILET AVAILABLE
There will be non-drinking buddies from MHM and friendly badge babes from Fruit n Juice at the event for you to talk to if you have any issues!
~good vibes only~
